Inactives: Rolando McClain Active, Jack Crawford Out

Posted Oct 12, 2014

SEATTLERolando McClain will be active for Sunday’s matchup against the Seahawks, after practicing just one day during the week.

McClain was absent from Sunday’s inactives list, despite spending all week on the injury report. The seven inactive players for the game are Dustin Vaughan, Jakar Hamilton, Bruce Carter, Jack Crawford, Davon Coleman, Ken Bishop and Donald Hawkins.

The inclusion of McClain on the active roster is huge for the Cowboys’ linebacker corps, particularly since Carter will once again miss as he rehabs a quad injury. The Dallas linebackers will be tasked with the unenviable responsibility of containing Seattle’s two-headed rushing attack of Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson.

The Cowboys also look likely to lean heavily on the foursome of Henry

Melton, Nick Hayden, Terrell McClain and Tyrone Crawford at defensive tackle. The duo of rookie defensive tackles, Ken Bishop and Davon Coleman, is once again inactive for the afternoon.

In place of Crawford, who was also on the injury report this week, the Cowboys will turn to reserve defensive end Lavar Edwards, who hasn’t played since the season opener against San Francisco. The Cowboys acquired Edwards in a trade at the end of preseason, but an injury has limited him to this point.

Notably for the Seahawks, starting center Max Unger will be inactive for the afternoon, while star safety Kam Chancellor has been designated active.
